Zipaud, for those of you who don’t know is a FREE international community website for hearing professionals and those who work with people with balance problems or hearing loss. It's also for people in related professional fields such as speech & language therapists and pathologists.
I received an email today from Maree Harper, the founder of the site that the site is to go black at the end of the month. Maree has recently had beautiful twins and is finding it difficult to continue the site with her new responsibilities. The site is a costly labour of love for Maree and she would find it difficult to juggle both her family and her commitment to the site. I can imagine the continuing financial strain of both.
Maree is asking for anybody who is interested in continuing Zipaud to contact her. I think Maree has shown real commitment and innovation with Zipaud and I believe that she is the best person to continue her vision. With this in mind I would ask you all to consider a yearly donation of say fifty dollars to keep this fantastic resource alive.
I think that if we give Maree the financial resources to continue her excellent work, we will all benefit in the long term.
